Teaching in Korea

Christmas at SLP

For a lot of the major holidays, we have days dedicated to having fun and teaching the kids about them. Before our week long winter break, we had celebrated Christmas by having Santa bring the kids presents and with a mini song concert.

I kicked off celebrating by putting together bags of goodies for all of my students and I think I made close to 40 bags.

In class, we kicked off by having “Santa” come around and give out presents. Here is a short video. I’m sharing, because I love Andy’s reactions.

They each got to take a picture with Santa individually with their presents and then together as a class.

Next came the song concert. The kids did great and tried their best. Here are a few of the classes. Two of them I teach.

In the afternoon, the older kids had a song concert as well, but they weren’t as amused.

Last but not least, our director went around giving everyone chocolate ornaments. It was so cute and equally good.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and next Monday I will share how I spent my first Christmas away from home.
