Redwoods Treewalk Rotorua

A breathtaking display of lights among the incredible 117-year-old Redwood trees.

Last month, I took a trip to New Zealand and got to explore the north island for two weeks. On our last city stop before returning to Auckland, we visited Rotorua. It was our last night and we were encouraged to go to the Redwoods Treewalk.  Redwoods Treewalk and David Truberidge Design had created the Redwoods Nighlights, a breathtaking display of lights among the incredible 117-year-old Redwood trees. You get to walk the 553-meter walkway among the trees on that consists of 23 suspension bridges and take in the beautiful sight. It is a must do attraction in Rotorua. But I will say that I was terrified every step along the suspension bridges, but they are safe and they do tell you that max amount of people that can be on the bridge at a time and what safety precautions you will need to keep in mind. Below are some of my favorite pictures that I took of the lights. I was absolutely in love with the way they seemed to float among the trees.
